Strawberry Cobbler with Cornmeal Topping

1/2 c. turbinado sugar
2 T. flour
1/8 t. allspice
2 quarts strawberries, sliced
2 t. lime juice

1 c. flour
1/3 c. turbinado sugar
1/4 c. cornmeal
1 T. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
3 T. butter
1/2 c. milk
salt to taste

Preheat oven to 400. Mix 1/2 c. sugar, 2 T. flour, and allspice in large bowl. Add sliced berries and mix well. Add lime juice (fresh is best). Transfer to casserole dish.

Mix topping ingredients, cutting in the butter thoroughly. Spoon topping over berry mixture. Bake until topping is golden brown and filling is bubbly, 25 - 30 minutes.
